The CS101 runs Windows Compact Edition (Windows CE) v5.0. Input is done through a touch screen and a keyboard.

A stylus is provided for touch screen use.

 

The stylus performs functions that are equivalent to a mouse:

Common Windows keyboard shortcuts work. These include:

File System Navigation

 

On the desktop, the icon labeled "My Device" runs the equivalent of Windows Explorer and lets you navigate to different parts of the Windows file system on the reader. You can move files around using this program with Cut/Copy/Paste as well.

 

For file operations, if you don't see the operation you want through the My Device menus, try Alt-Tap to bring up the context menu.

 

SD cards can be accessed as a drive.

 

 

Sleep and Power Off

 

For the power button:

· Press and release to put the reader to sleep.
· Press and hold till you see a Power Off message to shut down.

 

 

Setting the System Time

 

The system time can be set by double-tapping on the clock in the Windows CE taskbar.

 

Setting the year is done by tapping on it:
